The Choir

The Orfeó Balear is a symphonic choir made up of more than 120 choristers and currently one of the most prestigious and renowned choirs in Spain. Its concert activities alternate between the performance of symphonic-choral repertoires and choral music programs in a wide variety of styles, as well as a prominent presence of traditional music and composers from Mallorca, Catalonia, and Spain.

The sound and color of the ensemble make the Orfeó Balear an ideal instrument for performing choral music composed from the 18th century to the present day.

Directed by Daniel Mulet, the choir regularly collaborates with the Camerata Balear Orchestra and the European Symphony Orchestra at the Palma Auditorium and performs several seasonal concerts in the Balearic Islands. It also organizes the Balearic Classical Music Festival. and participates in other prestigious Music Festivals and Cycles.

The Orfeó Balear has several rehearsal rooms within the city of Palma and recently opened the Sala Lírica Balear, home to the Cercle Líric Balear , which promotes lyrical singing from our islands.
